Dear Waryam ji,
It has been a long time since we communicated with each other. However I keep track of you and your activities. Facebook is a great messenger. You know my problem of not writing in Punjabi. I can not type it.
I read the latest issue of Seerat. I must say that Seerat has become one of the foremost literary magazines in Punjabi. And I am saying that without hesitation and with all due respect to Dr. Raghbir Singh and Sirjana even though I have been associated with Sirjana from its early days. Seerat has attained such stature because of your hard work and creative talent.
Now to the content of Seerat that I want to talk about. I have read attentively and thoughtfully the two articles on SS Misha and Dr. Harbhajan Singh. I don't know Gurdial Bal but I knew Misha very well and I spent some really good and enjoyable moments with him. His death while unfortunate was tragic as well.Mr. Bal has brought out the best and deepest of Misha in his article. Misha was a great poet of his times even though he was not recognized as such by his contemporaries. Mr. Bal has depicted his character and poetic prowess truthfully and brilliantly.
The article on and about Dr. Harbhajan Singh by Principal Sarwan Singh is one only he can write. I can not find words worthy of the writing capabilities of Principal Sarwan Singh. I have followed his writings since the sixties. You wrote an article about him where you called him Ucha Buraj of Punjabi prose. And he truly is. All I can say is that his article has prompted me to read Harbhajan Singh. In the article he quotes another writer that when Harbhajan Singh wrote about him (Sarwan Singh) he broke the pen. I would say that after writing about Harbhajan Singh Principal Sahib has broken his pen.
Now I want the contact information about both of these writers either e mail or phone number or both. Can you please send those to me.
